ohh, can you smell Halloween? I can't believe how fast these days are passing by❢ it feels like just yesterday october was starting, and look at it now..
ohh, pueden oler Halloween? no puedo creer lo rápido que se pasaron estos días❢ se siente como si apenas ayer octubre hubiese comenzado, y miren ahora..
anyway, this time I come with a not-so-creepy entry, the main reason is 'cause two days ago my nephew's birthday party took place and so I have brought you some pics of the stuff I took home with me :P
en fin, en esta ocasión vengo con una entrada que no es tan aterradora, la razón principal es que hace dos días fue la fiesta de cumpleaños de mi sobrino y pues decidí mostrarles algunas de las cosas que traje a casa conmigo :P

first let me talk about the latest book I've read..
primero déjenme hablarles del último libro que leí..
Asylum by Madeleine Roux
this is the first book of a trilogy, and I've been dying to give it a try since some time ago (actually it was thanks to a side book which cover is gorgeous), then I thought it would be a nice read for october
este es el primer libro de una trilogía, y he estado muriendo por leerlo desde hace ya un tiempo (de hecho fue gracias a un libro complementario que vi, del cual la cubierta es hermosa), entonces decidí que sería una buena lectura de octubre
the story follows Dan, a guy who enters a prestigious school's prep summer program, due to some circumstances, he, along with other students, has to stay in a thrilling building which once was an Asylum named Brookline, a place for insane criminals
la historia sigue a Dan, un chico que logra entrar a un programa de preparación en verano de una prestigiosa escuela, algunas cosas ocurren y él y sus compañeros deben quedarse en un misterioso edificio el cual alguna vez fue un asilo para criminales dementes llamado Brookline
some strange things start to happen and Dan and his new friends (Jordan and Abby) start to investigate and soon face the dark past of the asylum..
algunas cosas extrañas comienzan a ocurrir y Dan y sus nuevos amigos (Jordan y Abby) empiezan a investigar y cada vez se sumerjen más en el oscuro pasado del asilo..
I have to say that I found this book quite interesting, it had me wondering if the stuff that happened were indeed caused by some paranormal phenomenum or was something else, like a real person behind all of it
debo decir que encontré este libro un tanto interesante, me mantuvo pensando si las cosas que ocurrían eran causadas por algún fenómeno sobrenatural o si se trataba de algo más, como una persona real detrás de todo
I feel like its ending was a little rushed, the way things got solved was fast and it broke the suspense/thrilling thing the whole story had
siento como que el final estuvo un poco apresurado, el modo en el que se resolvió todo fue algo abrupto y rompió con el aura de misterio/suspenso que toda la historia tuvo
in general I liked it, it was not bad but sadly it was not what I was expecting it to be.. I imagined it would be quite scary or something like that but no.. that never happened, but the pictures it has give it a nice touch
en general me gustó, no fue malo pero por desgracia no fue lo que yo esperaba.. imaginaba que sería un poco aterrador o algo por el estilo pero no.. eso jamás ocurrió, pero las fotografías que tiene le dan un buen toque
it was fast to read and easy to understand, plus it had me a little hooked (not much for my disgrace).. I hope I can read the next books soon❢
fue rápido de leer y fácil de entender, además me mantuvo un poco enganchada (no mucho para mi desgracia).. espero poder leer los siguientes libros pronto❢

por otro lado, ahora les mostraré algunas cosillas de la fiesta de mi sobrino :P
first, my oldest sister gave to all the guests a cookie.. yes, and Ironman one haha even if I don't like this characters I found it really cute❢
and my other sister (the mother of the bday boy) gave to every adult in there a Mason Jar as a form to thank for them attending to the party (yes, I also got one haha)
primero, mi hermana mayor (cómo lo diré? la primera?) le dio a todos los invitados una galleta.. sí, una de Ironman haha aunque no me gusta este personaje la encontré bastante linda❢
y mi otra hermana (vamos, la del medio.. la mamá del cumpleañero) le dio a cada adulto un Mason Jar para agradecerles su presencia (sí, también me tocó uno)
at the end I also took with my one superhero masks (in my case I got Wonder Woman) and one chocolate cupcake with red and yellow frosting..
al final tomé también un antifaz de superhéroes (yo escogí Wonder Woman) y un cupcake de chocolate con frosting rojo y amarillo..
we ate pizza that day but I think my sister bought much of it so, now, two days after, we still have some of it left haha and you know what? I can't complain.. after all I love pizza! *-* I just wonder.. would I get tired of it?
comimos pizza ese día pero creo que mi hermana compró de más, ahora, dos días después, aún tenemos un poco de sobra haha y saben qué? no me quejo.. después de todo amo la pizza *-* ahora sólo me pregunto.. me cansaré de ella?
well, I guess that was all for now ∩__∩' I know the only halloween-esque thing in this entry was the book, but I have nothing else this time u﹏u I also was doubting about showing all the party stuff but since it was all I got I had to do it :P
bueno, creo que eso será todo por ahora ∩__∩' sé que la única cosa halloween-esca en la entrada fue el libro, pero es que no tengo nada más que mostrar u﹏u de hecho estuve dudando si mostrar las cosas de la fiesta pero ya que era lo único que tenía pues tuve que hacerlo :P
anyway, I hope next entries will have more halloween content ∩__∩'
