welcome to a new entry ∩__∩ hope you're doing great❢ I've been quite busy.. and I guess my busy days are just starting.. but I swear I'll find some free time to read and then come and make the updates haha

oh! autumn is coming and I have to say I'm super happy about that haha aaaand also, september is almost over! that means two important things:
one, my book is arriving soon❢ yeah, finally I'll get my hands on the lovely Harry Potter new book ❤__❤ (in spanish of course haha..)
two, halloween is around the corner❢ so halloween themed entries will start soon❢

anyway.. I decided to read a new book, before my HP one arrives, and I finished it on saturday, but, why didn't I come before to make the entry? well, one single reason.. a tv series just had its season finale today, so I thought it was gonna be better to make the entry for the two of them.. so here I am then ∩__∩'
en fin, decidí leer un nuevo libro antes de que el nuevo llegue, y lo terminé el sábado, pero, ¿por qué no vine antes a hacer la entrada? bueno, por una sola razón.. una serie de televisión tuvo su final de temporada hoy, así que pensé que sería mejor hacer la entrada hasta ahora.. así que aquí estoy ∩__∩'

well, first of all let me tell you I decided to read this book because it's an stand-alone and I also had it in the bottom of my to-read-list since I've read and heard so much of it, and people actually liked it.. so I said "why not?"
bueno, antes que nada déjenme decir que decidí leer este libro porque es autoconclusivo y también lo tenía en el fondo de mi lista de libros por leer desde que escuché mucho de él, y al parecer a la gente le ha gustado mucho.. así que me dije "¿por qué no?"
so let's stalk about the plot, it's about a seventeen years old girl named Mercedes, and, what does she do? well, let's say she decided to become the "the first time" of boys at her school..
yeah, you read it right: she gives boys their first time so they'll be able to give their girlfriends a memorable first time..
hablemos de la trama, se trata de una chica de diecisiete años llamada Mercedes, y, ¿qué es lo que hace? bueno, digamos que ella decidió convertirse en la "la primera vez" de los chicos de su escuela..
sí, leyeron bien: ella le da a los chicos su primera vez para que ellos puedan darle a sus novias una primera vez memorable..
I have to say I didn't have high expectations of it, so it was a surprise to find out that I liked it
yes, it has its good and bad parts, but I can say it's a good book
tengo que decir que no tenía expectativas muy altas, así que fue una sorpresa ver que me gustó
sí, tiene sus partes buenas y sus partes malas, pero puedo decir que es un buen libro
I'm not sure if I completely liked Mercedes, you see, she's intelligent, brave and stubborn, even if sometimes I thought "oh gods, she's so dumb, what are you doing Mercy?", I also thought she was kinda cool
no estoy muy segura de si me gustó Mercedes, verán, es inteligente, valiente y decidida, incluso si hubo ocasiones en las que pensé "oh dioses, es tan tonta, ¿qué estás haciendo Mercy?", también pensé que era un tanto genial
I have to say that, even if I liked the other characters, I also found them quite plain, like, sometimes they didn't even matter to the plot, but I was glad to find out how loyal they were, like, everyone needs that kind of friendship
debo decir que, incluso si me gustaron los otros personajes, los encontré un poco insípidos, como que, a veces ni siquiera importaban en la historia, pero estuve contenta de ver lo leales que eran, creo que todos necesitan una amistad así
one thing I liked about this book is how it manages to talk about some taboo topics so easily, and how it speaks without a problem about them, I think it's a good book for teenagers
una cosa que me gustó del libro es cómo se las arregla para hablar de temas tabú tan fácilmente, y cómo lo hace sin problemas, creo que es bastante bueno para adolescentes
even if I was angry most of the time, I think it was interesting but the problem came at the end.. I think the author left me with some unanswered questions and also the plot had some holes that, maybe she wanted to fill up but I don't think she was able to do it correctly
incluso si estuve enojada la mayor parte de tiempo, fue interesante pero el verdadero problema vino al final.. creo que la autora me dejó con muchas preguntas sin responder y también la historia tenía algunas lagunas/hoyos que, quizás ella quiso rellenar pero no para mí no pudo hacerlo correctamente
I don't think I aprove Mercedes' behaviour, yes, she had a bad past, well, actually, she still has a bad life, and even if she thought she was doing people a favour, I think anything justifies what she did..
I also think she didn't deserve what happened to her, but I was glad how her story ended (even if the "romance" part was kinda predictable)
creo que no apruebo el comportamiento de Mercedes, sí, tenía un pasado bastante malo, bueno, de hecho aún tiene una mala vida, e incluso si ella pensaba que le estaba haciendo un favor a las personas, creo que nada justifica lo que hizo..
tampoco creo que lla mereciese lo que le pasó, pero me gustó como terminó su historia (incluso si la parte del "romance" fue un poco predecible)
in general, yes, I liked the book, but it's pretty obvious it's not going to be one of the best books I've read this year..
en general, sí, me gustó el libro, pero es un tanto obvio que no será uno de los mejores que he leído este año..

The Magicians
Season: 01 Episodes: 13
well, I have to say that I was kinda excited about this series, 'cause magic is one of my favourite subjects, so of course I wanted to watch it❢
some time after the series aired I found out it was based on books (luckily I'll be able to read at least one soon!) so I was even more excited
bueno, tengo que decir que estaba algo emocionada por esta serie, ya que la magia es uno de mis asuntos favoritos, así que era obvio que deseaba verla❢
un tiempo después de su estreno, descubrí que está basada una serie de libros (por fortuna podré leer por lo menos el primero pronto), así que me emocioné mucho más
I have to say that the plot is kinda cool, but sadly sometimes some episodes were a little bit boring, and other times it was actually hard to catch up the story (for different reasons), but gladly I think I understood the general thing haha
debo decir que la trama es un tanto genial, pero por desgracia a veces unos episodios eran un poco aburridos, y otras veces me fue un tanto difícil seguir la historia (por diferentes razones), pero afortunadamente creo que la entendí bastante bien haha
anyway, the tv series is about people with an special ability: magic
Quentin, the main character, has been obsessed practically all his life with these Fillory books (some kind of Harry Potter), he's been in a psychiatric for several years, his best friend, Julia "dumped" him for their other best friend, so Quentin feels kinda alone..
en fin, la serie es acerca de personas con habilidades especiales: magia
Quentin, el personaje principal, ha estado obsesionado, prácticamente toda su vida con los libros de Fillory (una especie de Harry Potter), ha estado en un psiquiátrico por algún tiempo, su mejor amiga Julia "lo botó" por su otro amigo, así que Quentin se siente un tanto solo..
one day things change: he's suddenly at Breakbills, an school of magic
but he's not alone, Julia is also there, but soon she's rejected and here's where the story begins..
un día las cosas cambian: él se encuentra en Breakbill, una escuela de magia
pero no está solo, Julia también está ahí, pero es rechazada y allí es cuando la historia comienza..
Julia wants so badly to be at Breakbills that she starts to look for another way to learn magic

I have to say that since the begining I shipped Quentin and Alice so badly that when they got together I was almost jumping in my seat haha

one word to describe the season finale: unpredictable
well, actually not 100% true LOL but big part of it was..
una palabra para describir el final de temporada: impredecible
bueno, de hecho no al 100% LOL pero gran parte lo fue..
sometimes I was kind of confused, but most of the time I was just surprised, like, "really? is real what I watched?" 'cause it was too much, believe me..
en algunas partes me confundí, pero la mayoría del tiempo estaba sorprendida, como, "¿de verdad? ¿lo que vi es real?" ya que fue demasiado, créanme..

finally we are able to see Fillory❢ after the group including Alice, Eliot, Penny and Margo gets there, Quenting goes to ask Julia for her help.. luckily they find a way to enter Fillory by following Jane Chatwin..
uh, ¿qué puedo decir para comenzar?
por fin vemos Fillory❢ después de que el grupo formado por Alice, Eliot, Penny y Margo llegan allí, Quentin va a buscar la ayuda de Julia.. por suerte encuentran una forma de entrar siguiendo a Jane Chatwin
there we start to find things, like Quentin and Julia are in the books: they are the ones who help Jane to escape from a trap, they also find the way to kill the Beast: an special blade; they also meet "the Watcherwoman" who they thought was a villain but turns out to be adult Jane who actually helps them to go back to the present..
ahí encontramos que Quentin y Julia están en los libros: ellos son los que ayudan a Jane a escapar de una trampa, también encuentran la forma de matar a la Bestia: una daga especial; también conocen a "Watcherwoman" quien pensaban era una villana pero resulta ser Jane de adulta, y ella los ayuda a volver al Fillory del presente..
then they finally find the group, Penny is able to rescue Victoria (the other traveler) and also, they rescue someone else..
turns out that the Beast is NOT who they thought❢ is actually Martin Chatwin❢ O__O and I have to say that I suspected it..
después encuentran al grupo, Penny es capaz de rescatar a Victoria (la otra viajera) y también rescatan a alguien más..
al final resulta que la Bestia no es quien ellos creían❢ de hecho es Martin Chatwin❢ O__O y debo decir que eso lo sospeché un poco antes..
they have to pay a price for the blade: one of them, the one with "royal" blood has to marry a girl.. so Eliot is the lucky one❢ haha but it turns out that the blade can only be touched by someone with great power.. so Quentin and Julia go in a research to find one of the gods who created Fillory: Ember
he gives them what they're looking for and also he unlock Julia's memory: uh oh❢
tienen que pagar por la daga: uno de ellos tiene sangre de la realeza y tiene que casarse con una chica, resulta que Eliot es el afortunado❢ haha pero resulta que sólo puede ser empuñada por un "maestro hechicero".. así que Quentin y Julia van a buscar a Ember: uno de los dioses que creo Fillory, él les da su "poder" y también le quita a Julia el "bloqueo" que tenía en su memoria: uh oh❢
so, Julia and her friends tried to call out a god, but they failed and summoned a trickster who raped Julia and killed all of her friends T__T
así que, Julia y su grupo de amigos trataron de invocar a un dios, pero en realidad llamaron a algo más quien abusó de ella y mató a los demás T__T
Quentin tells Alice to drink what Ember gave them, so she would be the one who kills the Beast..
they arrive to the source of the power of Fillory's magic, and the Beast arrives too O__O
here the things get worse, he attacks everyone❢ Alice's bleeding, Eliot and Margo seem to be "sleeping" (I hope they didn't die❢) and Penny.. ohgods he cut off his hands❢
Quentin le dijo a Alice que bebiera lo que les dio Ember, así ella podría ser la que matar a la Bestia..
llegan a la fuente del poder de Fillory y la Bestia llega después O__O
aquí es donde se pone feo, ataca a todos❢ Alice se desangra, Eliot y Margo parecen estar inconscientes (espero que no estén muertos❢) y Penny.. ohgods le cortó las manos❢
it turns out that Julia got great power after she was raped and she held the blade, she was about to kill the Beast but she did something unpredictable: she makes a deal with the Beast to kill the trickster, and they suddenly disappear!
resulta que Julia obtuvo poder "supremo" después de que abusaran de ella, así que ella tenía la daga en el cuello de la Bestia, pero hizo algo impredecible: hizo un trato para matar a la cosa que la engañó, y de repente desaparecieron❢
what?! srly Julia? I can't believe she did that❢
I have to say that I don't know why, but I never liked Julia :| and now, pff.. she's not my favourite person, not now, not ever again❢
¿qué? ¿de verdad Julia? no puedo creer que haya hecho eso❢
debo decir que no sé por qué, pero jamás me gustó Julia :| y ahora, pff.. digamos que no es mi personaje favorito, ni ahora, ni jamás❢

overall, I liked it and I hope for a second season to come, I need to know what happens❢
probably I'll have the chance to give it a try to the books before another season comes out :P
en general, me gustó el episodio y espero con ansías una segunda temporada, necesito saber que pasará❢
probablemente tendré la oportunidad de leer el libro antes de que llegue :P
well, I guess that's all for now.. I know it was some kind of crappy entry.. sorry!
haha but I still hope you enjoyed reading all the drama I wrote :P
